walking down memory lane

today my friend and i came to this really nice place with very very beautiful scenery
with trees. grass.water. wind. ( and no, im not referring to east coast park, thank you very much)
and we were like just walking around
and walking
and walking
and me having this feeling that somehow this place looks kind of familiar
when it suddenly clicked
that i have been here before
3 times, in fact

wow they seem so long ago
those times that i've been here
each time embodies a different meaning, with a different feeling

and now i'm here again
after all those years
standing in the same place
but now viewing it all in a different way

i've learnt to appreciate
how pretty everything is
how the water soothes me
and the wind comforts me

i am no longer like before, when i was a small kid
when i look at the water. the trees. the clouds. the buildings.
without really looking at them.
without realising that a few years later
i will be standing in the exact same place
looking. and looking.
staring and staring,
trying to take it all in
trying to bring it all back
back when i was still a young child,
when i was standing there, with my friends
playing, talking
without having to think about anything else except when we have to go home
so that my parents wouldnt have to worry

have i changed?
perhaps
perhaps i have grown up
become more mature,
since the very first time i stood in the exact same place

i try to hold all of it close to me
not letting go
i want all of it to be part of me
part of my beautiful memories
where i can look back in the future
and tell myself
that is a part of me, a part of my life
a part which will always stay inside me
never leaving

and now
with me walking down memory lane
all those childhood stories
the simple happiness
the sunshine
the rain
the wind
the snow
the flowers
the bees
the days i spent trying to catch butterflies
all of them rushing back
to me

where have they gone to?
yes i know they are inside me
and they always will be
but can i ever feel them again?
can i go back to those days
those carefree days
of my childhood

when we played catching with friends all day long
when i have big brothers and sisters to look after me and take care of me?

how i miss those times...

haha so i am finally blogging again...
yesyes...march hols is finally here, but the sad thing is, it isnt really much of a holiday, considering all the stuff we have to do...
ya anywae. we shouldnt think in that way, since after all it is the holidays and we should be happy and have fun and have lots and lots of sleep. and lots of rest. to recover from the muscle pains in the arms and legs and back pains. from PE. ahhh.

my back hurrrrrtts. awwww. must be getting old.
see im so tired i cant even think properly and blog decently. in proper sentences. logically.

so i shall stop here.

Can't believe we're already sec 4s. Don't know why, but I still feel like we're inm sec 2. Maybe because we no longer count by secondary levels after we join the VIP? Haha.

Oh yes, and my impression of sec4s are those who are tall (well supposedly) /

Went to SHATEC today. It was quite fun I guess. Especially the dining etiquette part where they got people to act. So funny!!!! And Ms Toh was busy snapping photos (yes, unexpectedly, and at the most crucial times)...

Don't know what's going to happen for group stimulation exercise...hope it's going to be fun!!!

time really flies. or does it?

the holidays are here... just like how all the other holidays have come before.
and before you know it, it's gone. poof. and then it's school again. with all the familiar faces.

so much has happened this year. an eventful and interesting year, definitely.
and when you look back, you remember all the things... the happy ones as well as unhappy ones. all those days where you wish and wish will be over. and waiting for the year to end.

so now it has ended. but it's too fast.
one year goes by, another comes along
every year it's like this
and we are so used to it, we dont even think about it anymore.
or do we?

can i remember everything thats happened?
every moment. to be cherished.
orientation. all those helmsman weeks. japan trip. mount fuji. indieventure week. the lessons. the eoys. the teachers. the friends.

we've only been together for one year. but we've gone through so much. together.
all the people
those who dont say it but cares for you all the same
those who dont say it but appreciate you all the same
those who say one thing but actually they really mean well

and those who we love but we ourselves may not know it
or may not show it

we should. appreciate more.
who knows?
one day they may leave you
and that one day will definitely come
sometime

and then you regret
and then start to appreciate them and miss them
but it's really too late, isnt it?
or maybe not...

but of course
if we are given a choice
i would say

yayy its the september holidays!!! hahaxx decided to blog todae...
super tired these days...
hmm come to think of it, 4 days of my holidays are already gone...=(( so fast...

my cousin just came a few days ago...so must bring her around...
and what do u noe? it just so happens to be during my holidayys when im supposed to relax and have fun and go out with frens...

but nvm, still can have fun while bringing her around but can forget about the relaxing and going out with frens part...hahax

hmm sunday we woke up quite late... 11.30..something liddat... and then after lunch we went to east coast. erm i didnt quite expect to spend such a long time there.. ( can u believe we went home only at 8.30?!??) east coast isnt THAT fun... so guess what took up so much time??
haha eating... and taking photos.
she can REALLY take photos man... as in, REALLY. lols. like 3 photos at the EXACT same spot with DIFFERENT poses...
and its like we stop at almost every place with what can be counted as relatively nice scenery to *snap snap snap* hahax
arghx. so went home late. then talk talk talk talk until 12 sth.

yup so the next day obviously very tired... woke up even later ... around 12 noon. and then we went to wild wild wet. hahax.came back in the evening... ( and oh no i think i got darker!! hahax)
then eat eat eat and then talk talk talk again....

ahhh i noe we still have much more activities lined up this hols... boohoo... dunno whther shud be happy or sad. haha already feeling very tired todae.

and shud we go sentosa? its like there really isnt anything that fun or interesting there... ( who mentioned merlion?? *looks around* hahax) but still.... its like u are SUPPOSED or EXPECTED to bring ppl to sentosa...

but i think what it says it's true...we should treasure our friends and family and everyone we know and remember them for the good things they've done...

especially like at the end of last year where many classmates started crying and many say they regret that they didnt get to know one another better....=)

ahhh time passes so fast!!!!!!!!
it's already the end of indieventure week...
come to think of it, it had been really funn

mon- watched video clip, read story extract about food, went to corduroy and finch to pig out, then went to walk around to look at different shops after which we all sat down in a park and discussed about what we learnt that day
and btw did i mention that i got bitten TWICE by mosquitoes that day?? hahaxx.. reminds me of camp... camp was even worse...

tues- haha went to zeekuans (lol) house to do projj... didnt really do a lot, played game of life (me and xh were very excited to play but then found out the game was like, suuuuper boring and everything was on luck.errr) oh yaaaaa.... then like zeekuan told us this game was just a luck game but we didnt really belive lah... then like before we start we have to choose a colour to represent us on the board right? then me and xh were choosing the colours and then zeek say cannot is must use luck oneee... then me and xh were like super amused that choosing colour also need luck... hahax in the end it was just that zeek was talking about something else... hahax
then after that we watched 30min of movie...

wed- ahhhhhh went to dodo seafood (instant noodles) hahax the food tasted a bit like the noodles in the school canteen... ya then after that we did project again

thurs- ahhhaaaa!!! this is the funnest (is there such a word) day... went to sch to do project.. then our grp went to ecp macdonalds to eat and tape something.. (said that b4 right>) haha then it was super fun and we sang songs and did cheers on the way there and on the way bac to sch. yupp so did project again, then went home. then did project again..hahax

todae- presentation!! haha bio and ss lasted very long cos got only 2 teachers... then we were very nervous also... but did quite well lahh=)
then after the whole thing bamboo say she want to eat lunch with me, like either go out or stay in sch....then i want to go but cannot.. got something on after schh... ended at around 3.30pm... so sad right... good thing nvr ask bamboo to wait for meee hahax

haha next week is another special week!!! =)

so we have managed to survive all the tests and projects... and we will be heading towards indie-venture week!

ah. so i decided to blog todae...=)
the 5 days holiday are passing by so fast!!
so last fridae was the dim sum dollies performance...it was quite nice... the beginning till the break..then after that things got a bit boring...

didnt do much on saturdae... tired to do a bit of homework but was too tired... work up very late... abt 11.. (no im NOT a pig.. im just sick u see.. like almost everyone else) and went to bed very early...

then sundae... went to orchard... bought a lot of things to eat (once again, no im NOT a pig.. im just trying to enjoy food while i still can bite properly... wearing braces this week u see..) and im not sure but i think i saw xiao xian too... but didnt see properly..so not sure...

yup.. then mondae is national day celebrations... went to sch.. then after that went to watch charlie and the chocolate factory with wanting... it was nice, but not as nice as i expected, and the book was better!! haha... and willy wonka was a bit urm... scary... cos his face was too white... the willy wonka in the book looked much better.. haha. but the ending was very nice. and touching. =)

sigh. so then its tuesdae. woke up late. again. think im recovering...feeling much better. and the metal thing doesnt hurt my tongue that much anymore. and then watched the NDP (not at padang, of course)

so then todae came. so sad right. there goes the end of holidays.. tmr school again. argh. and physics test too. and all the projects... and with week 8 coming...

argh.

nvm nvm shall stop all these complaints or the people reading this may get scared off... hahax..

well it seems like quite a long time since i last blogged. actually there are a lot of things to blog about, but i was just too lazy to do so. but since simmie and michh asked me to update, i shall just be a good girl and do it then =)

yup, so we had racial harmony day celebrations yesterday. the concert was pretty good, i think. especially the mass dance at the end!! but the rest of our cls disappeared, for whatever reason i dont know.. haha =)

if u ask me, i would always prefer happy endings to sad ones. dont ask me why, i just do, maybe because a sad ending can really affect my mood (for a long time too).

take for example the last harry potter book (order of phoenix). the part where black died. i didnt like that, and it really made me unhappy for quite a long time. its just that it always stays in my mind, even if i am doing something or even if i am busy.

so anyway, i dont like the fact that the more and more people are dying in the harry potter books. some time ago i've read that jk rowling hinted that harry may not even live till adulthood. thats so sad!! i really hope that things will work out in the end (and of course harry lives and the stupid he-who-must-not-be-named-or-something-horibble-may-happen-to-you person will just like, go jump into the river or something, that is, if he can die that easily).

ahhh enough blogging about harry potter. shall not be called a harry potter addict...

VIP openhouse!!

so our hardwork and preparation for open house paid off after all. our presentations went great and everyone (including us) were happy, even though we were really tired ( 1. i stayed up till 2am on thurs to edit my script 2. i DON'T usually wake up at 7am on saturdays ).

so i spent most of my weekend catching up on my sleep...

anywae, back to the open house

so i met my juniors on friday and they attended our chemistry presentation, and later when i reached home my junior called me to get more info on VIP. and before she hung up she said " oh by the way i was really impressed with your presentation!!! you really stole my heart away from NJ"

lols. if only this works for everyone else too!! hahax

but seriously i think our open house really went great (especially the mass dance part of course) and i think many people will be itching to get into the VIP... hahax

all right, shall stop here now... need to go out soon...

time really flies... it's already a month since the japan trip and school has already started a week ago. ms low said that this is going to be an even more hectic term than term 2... and we already had 3 tests this week...arghz

hmmm today is a big day.... VIP OPEN HOUSE!!! =) (im presenting on chemistry )haha everyone is really busy preparing for it and i think a lot of effort is put into this. so those ppl who come must apprecitae what we have done ok!!!! =)=)

thinking of changing a template for the blog, but too lazy to do so. and too lazy to type properly... very tired...

sometimes i wonder what is the use of blogging when you can keep a nice personal diary at home which you can write in whenever you want....

then again, blogging is also quite fun but u can get quite sick of it if u blog too often

if i blog anymore i think im going to fall asleep in front of the computer screen...

morning after assembly is, as u all noe, lecture again. yawnz. drew crazy pictures. stopped myself from falling asleep by thinking of praxis. yayy!!!

after that is breakdown session. arghz. found out praxis is only after break. restlessly endured 2 hours.

haha... these days are just so exciting... things seem to happen alot hm...

anywaes... i was taking the bus home todae... then after a while it stopped at a bus stop near a school, and the students were piling into the bus.. yup... and so it was crowded.

i tink the bus driver was angry at them coz they refuse to move in and so other ppl cannot board the bus. and then he scolded them, saying something like whats the use of studying when u dont even noe such a simple thing like this?

well i tink i can understand why the bus driver was angry, as u noe, he has to work so long and is probably tired and irritated and stuff ( well i guess i would feel that way too if i had to sit in a vehicle for too long). and ya, the students should have moved in for others to board.

but then again... perhaps the bus driver shudnt have shouted at them that way.. it was kinda scary.. and the students have already apologised and everything. and they said they were getting off at the next stop so if they moved in too much it would be hard for them to get out. yup i understand that too... so perhaps the ones who were getting down later should have moved in more..

and that made me tink of something else. sometimes when u sit in the bus and suddenly A LOT OF students board and suddenly the bus becomes extremely overcrowded and noisy coz they were chatting REALLy loudly. sometimes i feel irritated by all the noise and everything and i guess the other passengers too coz they look really annoyed and keep on glaring at the students.

seriously. i dont tink its wrong to talk in the bus. of course u can do that! but pls pls pls keep the noise level down okz??? tink of other passengers... sometimes they want to rest after a long dae's work and everything.... and besides that i dun tink u wud leave a good impression of urself. mebbe not as YOURSELF, since they probably wun see u again but it does affect the reputation of ur school u noe... and haha this may sound corny but come on, we SHOULD uphold the image of our school! hahahax

haha todae was quite eventful... for math, there are good news!!! mr lam came bac!!! yay!!! we are all so happy to see him again...haha...wonder if he got fitter?

then for PE, we did situps, pushups, jogging and then the teacher also lectured us on the importance of staying fit. After that we went to the living block and climbed up 25 storeys!! wow!! hahaha

so.... nowadays there seem to be more and more homework...im beginning to feel a bit weighed down by them.... but i think i can manage... and there are also lots of tests coming up....arghz

well todae is cross-country...i think i did pretty well....at least better than my usual running....hahax...dont know why...but i just feel so happy todae!!

haix... feeling very tiredz.... im not used to blogging everydae...

anyway, today we did groupwork again (as usual)...we did presentation our our ethnography... and also some other stuff...

well we had electives today! for my elective there were only 11 people...less than i expected... then we did self intro and then the teacher talked to us about some comics..that was about all we did actually....

wah very tired...shall stop here...bye

haHa..today is pretty fun as well, although we didnt do anything much, unlike yesterday...
hm..well at first we were divided into groups for the imagineering programme..and then we did some activities like finding out our group members' strengths and weaknesses. haha we finished that quite fast and then my group played some games as well. hm... after that we went to take class photo..and then we went to interview people! yay...

we interview our math teacher, mr lam. he is really nice and friendly, and we like him a lot! haha... the interview was done pretty fast and then our group had nothing else to do...so we sat at the concourse ( or is it) and we just talked and tried to analyse the information we got...but i dont think we got anywhere..hahax

sigh... something is bothering me...but i dont know what...haiz. oh ya..my angel and mortal still havent write back to me!!! if u are one of them pls write back asap!!! haiz...maybe i should go do something else now to calm down..lol..so bye!

wELL ToDay...
today was quite fun... our teacher, mr chad is pretty nice, and i think we had quite an interesting time in the learning hub...
well at first we had to choose a picture and talk about it, that was pretty simple, until we had to relate it to our problem we defined last week...haha...
hm...then there were lots of group activities, and i think everyone was quite into them...and afterwards we watched a video on innovation....
i think i learnt quite a lot from today's activities...like, how we should encourage everyone to give their ideas and not criticise them so as to keep the ideas flowing...and how to build on other people's ideas! and i like my group cos the people are very nice and know when to be serious and when to have fun! yay!
i guess i will stop here for today... nitez...
